About Us

We are a Lutheran fraternity and service organization at Texas A&M. Founded on the values of spiritual growth, scholastic excellence, and selfless service, Beta Sigma Psi seeks to instill character in our members and spread our values throughout the community.

Spiritual

What sets Beta Sigma Psi apart from other fraternities is the focus on one’s faith. The spiritual aspect of Beta Sigma Psi is the one that Phi Chapter takes the most pride in. The men of Phi Chapter host an open invite Bible study with our fellow Lutheran organization, Lutheran Student Fellowship. While many of our members share in a common Lutheran faith, it is by no means a requirement for membership in Beta Sigma Psi.

Our spirituality encompasses all activities and relationships we are involved in, seeking to promote our Christian values and be exemplary members of our campus and world.

We focus on success in the classroom and how fraternity promotes and enhances the ideal of life-long learning throughout one’s life.

Scholastic

Phi Chapter prides itself with a great point average that is significantly higher than the university average. Our brothers study a wide array of majors and are always willing to lend a helping hand to those who may be struggling. Many of our brothers have done advanced degrees (i.e., Master’s & PhD) during their time in Beta Sig and many more have gone on to do them afterwards.

Social

The social aspect of fraternity at Beta Sigma Psi more closely resembles the selfless service concept present in Texas A&M’s core values. Phi Chapter’s service comes in a variety of ways, whether it be volunteering with university programs such as BUILD or with local organizations such as Brazos Valley Food Bank. Phi Chapter also lends their service to local church congregations as well.

Beta Sig promotes activities that demonstrate leadership and service on campus and in the community as a means to becoming a well-adjusted  gentleman in today’s society.
